Part 3 Inventions 2
Question 4: What invention would you like to see in the future?
解题思路:
此题需要一定的想象能力。比较常规的答案包括医疗方面的突破medical breakthroughs,新型交通 more affordable, sustainable and efficient forms of transport, 以及太空飞船spaceships。
Sample Answer:
Well, it's impossible to know for sure what future holds. But if i let my imagination go wild, I'm hoping to see more new breakthroughs in medical technology to cure more diseases, more affordable, sustainable, and efficient forms of transportation, like flying cars? And also, It'd be really cool if we can go to the outer space freely one day, so I also would like to see scientists invent a type of affordable spaceship that can send ordinary people there for travel.
Question 5: Have you ever invented something yourself? If so, what was it?
Sample Answer:
Not really, I'm afraid. Even though,in my childhood, there were some science fairs or competitions that encouraged us to create little inventions, i've never been part of that, cuz it's not what i'm interested in or talented at. But I once thought about inventing a kind of new toilet that's self-cleaning, eco-friendly, with features like a heated seat. Obviously, this has become a reality over these years.
Question 6: How do you think technology and inventions will change the way we live in the future?
解题思路:
Part 3预测类题型需要注意将来时的运用。此题思路包括:人工智能的发展(advancements in artificial intelligence); 生物基因(biotechnology and genetics); 以及智能家居城市(smart homes and cities)
Sample Answer:
There is no doubt that they will continue to shape our world in the future. For instance, advancements in robotics and artificial intelligence would lead to more jobs being automated in various industries, leading to greater efficiency, lower costs, and higher productivity. Besides, advances in biotechnology and genetics could probably change our genetic makeup and medical history. And as well as that, I LOVE the idea of smart homes and cities. I mean The Internet of Things (IoT) will transform the way we interact with our homes and cities, with smart devices and sensors helping to automate and optimize various aspects of daily life, such as heating, lighting, transportation and waste management.
