Part 3 Shops 2
Question 4: Do you think shopping can be addictive? Why or why not?
Sample Answer:
Well, it depends on the people. If you are a lack of self-control or self-discipline, you can get addicted to anything, especially shopping. I mean, it does feel good when you are carrying shopping bags, walking out of the shopping mall with a confident smile in your face, I bet nobody could resist the charm. And this is the reason why most people would spoil themselves by shopping for a purse, for a Rolex or something like that. However, if you are not that into consumerism, I don't think you could easily be carried away or lose your mind in it.
Question 5: How do you think shopping habits have changed in recent years?
Sample Answer:
Well, the first change must lie in the online shopping part aspect. As you can see each year the Black Friday or double 11 shopping festival could earn like billions of Yuan on the streaming platforms. I guess this is because with the development and perfection of online payment service, People are more used to spending money on Taobao or Amazon or something like that. In the past, we did not have the guts to do it. And the second transformation must be that more virtual commodities are being purchased such as costumes for avatars in a game or membership card even insurance service while 20 years ago, that would be impossible.
Question 6: Do you think shopping can be a waste of time and money? Why or why not?
Sample Answer:
Yes, it could be. I mean especially for the young adults who are not born in well-to-do families, they just step into their career after the graduation, if they spend a fortune on games, jewelry or those so-called luxuries without considering making ends meet, that would be very horrible. In some extreme cases, some people would be lured to max up their credit card, therefore running up debts of thousands of dollars, this could be terribly dangerous.
