Why do people miss important events?

解题思路: 

原因可以是：不可抗力因素（新冠阳了，自然灾害等），不赞成活动背后的目的，或者性格原因（特别粗线条）

Sample Answer:

That's an interesting question. Common sense tells us that if an event is significant to us, we'd take it seriously, maybe thinking about it all the time. So how can we miss it, right? So in terms of the reason, I guess it's connected to something unexpected, like getting infected by covid, or maybe some natural disasters. There're also other explanations. For example, they don't approve of the message behind the event, so they make their point by not showing up deliberately. Or perhaps they are just too careless, personality-wise.
