Sample Answer 1 (6分段参考):
To be honest, I think I'm just an ordinary person and i can't think of many things that made me feel proud of myself. But I'll still go ahead and talk about one singing competition that I've taken part in.
I always love to sing so when the Student Union hosted this event, I just signed up for it. I practiced very hard for this because I really took it seriously. Actually I wasn't aiming for a prize or anything. I just wanted to have this opportunity to sing for more people. I even rehearsed in front of some friends and asked for their advice. They said my voice was really charming but suggested me wearing something special that day to make an impression and I thought that was a bit too much, so I didn't really take their advice.
Anyway it was really competitive cuz from what I remember, more than 200 students like me participated in it, and many contestants majored in music, so that really made me nervous. However, on the big day, I brought out my best performance. I mean I was calm, and the song I picked really spoke to the audience, I think. So I was really happy with it.
Eventually I ranked the 20th in the semi-final. Even though I didn't make it to the final, I was still very proud of myself for trying my best and singing for the crowd. Going forward, I'll keep singing and bring joy to people that I love.
Sample Answer 2 (7分段参考):
Okay so let me get started. I don't see myself as a person with lots of achievements, but there're still things I’ve done that made me proud of myself, like helping others, getting good grades, and quitting some bad habits. But now I feel like talking about the first part-time job I did.
It was many years ago actually, when I was just a freshman at university. I didn't want my academic study to be the whole of college life, so I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something different, so I applied for a tutoring job.
I found this job posting from a private organization on the internet and signed up for it. I remember being very enthusiastic about it and working very hard to prepare for the interview. Finally, I nailed it and got the job. I only worked on the weekends but never missed any appointments with my students. Basically, what I did was teaching young kids some simple English. It was not as easy as I thought, but it's not rocket science, either. The real trouble was classroom management, but luckily, I soon got some training on that, and I could really use that.
So why did I take pride in this experience? Well, the main reason is that it's the first time I had made money myself. I can still remember the day when I got my pay. My superior handed me an envelope filled with cash, and there was over 2000 RMB in it. It was a great feeling. Another reason is that while my friends were partying and having fun, spending their parents' money on the weekends, I was working hard to earn money. This kind of contrast made me feel good about myself. I guess it's this part-time job that let me know how amazing it is to be independent.
