Sample Answer
Well, the professor gives us a lecture on primacy effect meaning a trend that our view of a person depends on our feelings when we meet him or her for the first time. And he provides two examples to clarify this concept. The first one is when the professor started working, he proposed some useful advice to his boss. Then the boss credited the success to his smart idea. Although he also stumbled in his later work, he was consistently regarded as an excellent research assistant. Additionally, the professor also talks about his colleague’s unfortunate experience that on the first days she made a serious mistake and the company had to mend the loss with huge cost. From then on, the boss considered her as an untrustworthy and unqualified employee no matter how well she did her job because he remembered nothing but her mistake. So these are the two examples of primacy effect.
