题目:
If a country is already rich, any additional economic wealth does not make its citizens happier. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
范文:
According to the annual surveys of Global Happiness Index through decades, the general high mark winners among countries have been distributed in developed regions like North America and West Europe. These statistics indicate a reasonable fact that people in rich countries generally lead happier lives. Some people then raise an assumption that, on condition of being wealthy, additional social fortune does not upgrade the level of happiness.
Psychologists may hold approving attitudes towards this argument, as they believe the well-being of residents is derived for all aspects and financial factor only meet the basic demands for survival and security. Therefore, more income for wealthy families does not solve problems like mental diseases and domestic conflicts as these belong to higher parts of personal needs and money is no longer the answer .
However, with the extra increment of social economy, governments are able to help citizens feel more secured and honored at home and abroad. Although it is mostly true that the majority of social fortune is held by the minority group, the authorities can collect more taxes from the higher social class and thus care more for the poor by promoting the welfare, the lowest hourly wage and community facilities whereas governors with tight budgets have to prioritize the rights of limited social groups and goals. Another advantage of continuous growth of GDP is the the rise of international status for the country and its citizens, which granted more rights and treats for its citizens when traveling and dwelling overseas.
To conclude, I can partly agree with the proposed idea because the happiness for wealthy families relies on the satisfaction of other needs whereas the extra wealth can indeed help those still struggling and below average living standard in its nation.
