题目:
Some people say that travelling abroad is necessary to get knowledge about other countries, while others suggest that TV and the internet can also help people know about foreign countries. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
范文:
The thriving development of tourism and internet has allowed people around the world to access and get to know better about other cultures and regions than ever. Between the two approaches, some state that overseas travelling is essential to grasp the whole, specific and useful image of other nations but others declare that the knowledge can be acquired from TV programs and internet contents.
Contents from TV and internet indeed help domestic residents become aware of aspects of other countries. As there are a wide variety of media like news, programs, videos blogs and daily posts concerning affairs worldwide, audience and users can access all subjects regarded to their own interests but usually get flooded with the information recommended soon after they have exposed their focal points to servers. In terms of the quality of knowledge online, it is generally more specialized compared what tourists can attain as editors and even bloggers simply have dedicated more time in their fields. However, all the screenings and uploads can hardly hold the principle of fidelity but serve various purposes, so the contents gathered may be conflicting and hard to specify. Besides, the contents and pictures from these methods may only be the parts that reporters and posters want to emphasize but not one’s original pursuits.
Touring on the spot is actually more helpful in learning about the truth of one’s destination, if the disadvantageous parts aforementioned are considered. All the information tourists get is first-hand 100% genuine when they step into target country, where they can see, chat with the local, experience and generate their own picture in mind. As well as the facts, the weather, food and feelings derived from local manners can leave sightseers deeper impressions way beyond virtual inputs. Moreover, visitors can choose their own their favourite slices rather than switching among TV channels and searching among websites.
In conclusion, the two sides of getting knowledge about foreign countries are both feasible but travelling abroad is apparently more appealing when truth, personal feelings and interests are concerned.
