范文:
Cycling is generally regarded as a healthy means of transport both to cyclists and the environment. It is however not the mainstream choice for daily commuting due to city expansion and the constant improvement of public traffic. To encourage more commuters cycle to work, resolutions can be adopted for both individuals and the authorities.
A couple of reasons seemed to block the healthy selection for everyday use. The major reason stems out of the size of cities which has been continuously expanding and a number of employees are forced to live in outskirts and work in central areas due to the real-estate prices. As a result, the daily route has been extended from several to scores of miles and cycling to work become way beyond labor and time available. The other reason is the promotion of public transport. Its modern approaches consist of automobiles ranging from door-to-door taxis to efficient buses and subways. These rival methods consume less time and energy, further marginalizes the choice of bikes.
To inspire more cyclists on road, governments is the focal point to count on and individuals should also cooperate. To persuade people, the promotion of this method should be more convincing, and then those within riding distances can be motivated more to follow the recommended way, with the belief of not just helping their own health but tackling greenhouse emission as well. In order to make the change persistent, city councils need to take measures, such as constructing cycling tracks and providing safety parking spots, to make the riding experience smooth. The availability of bicycles is another aspect to improve and governments can introduce shared ones so that they are more accessible and affordable.
In conclusion, the growing commuting distances has indeed made cycling to work impossible, but for those who are suitable, it is government’s obligation to guarantee its access and using experience, as its beneficial nature is known to most citizens.
