The contest I would like to take part in will be an sport championship in our university. It’s a game called League of Legend which is popular around the world. Basically, the competition takes place every year at our university, starting from March and the whole racing season is around three months. To take part in the championship, we need build a team of five members by ourselves, playing different positions in the game, namely Top Laner, Jungler, Mid Laner, Bot Laner, and Support.
Usually, group matches will be held in the small hall in our library and the final round will be in the stadium of our university. What is more exciting is that the contest will be on live so every game fan from our university can watch it.The one I really want to participate in will be the 2023 contest as I can have almost a whole year to find the right team members, to get trained and practice together.
Moving onto why I want to participate in it... first of all, it is because I’ m really passionate about this game and taking part in this championship can be a good chance to show my talents in gaming. Also, what attracts me is the prize. For teams who can enter the finals, a $1000 prize will be awarded, and it can help me to pay part of my tuition fees. The last reason is that I believe the whole experience will be fun. I mean, it’s a game that does not only count on a player’s individual abilities but also requires the cooperation and creativity of a team. So I really look forward to working with my team mates, learning from each other.

I have taken participate in many different kinds of contests as I’m pretty good at painting and playing piano since I was a kid. However, there is this English speech contest I have been planning to take part in. The contest involves different formats, including a prepared speech presentation, followed by spontaneous speech on site, as well as a round of film dubbing. So I would say it’s pretty challenging.
Basically, it’s a nationwide contest, taking place in every city of China. Winners from different cities will go to Beijing for the finals. Speaking of why I would like to take part in this specific contest...well, first of all, it’s because I want to challenge myself. Also, this could be a perfect opportunity to improve my English a bit.
