Well, this special experience actually took place last year when I moved into this new apartment, so my friend and I had this celebration of a housewarming party.
The reason why we didn't choose a fancy restaurant is because as a matter of fact, in my country there is a custom that housewarming party should be thrown in the new home to create the atmosphere of joy and happiness. So we decided to throw a dinner party at home, preparing for the hot pot, roasting chicken wings, playing board games together.
Well, we planned quite a few days earlier, and in the afternoon, my friend just showed up at the door with lamb and vegetables, which made me feel so excited. When the dinner started, they made a toast to me saying “Congratulations!” for they knew that it was not a piece of cake to afford this new apartment, but the turning point of my life, very touching, right?
And to my surprise, my friend Mandy, Eric and Ray, each of them brought a big gift for me! Finally, 2 hours later, we even brewed mulled wine, which totally pushed the party to the climax that night!
I really love this celebration not only because it is a symbol of self-reliance of my own, but also it shows that what true friends are! Like the people who really wish you best. This is why I would never forget this special event.

I’m keen on celebrating things, cause it’s a great excuse to add some varieties to my boring routine life. But this one was quite unexpected, even for me.
It was several years ago when my friend and I decided to eat out for dinner. When she showed up, she was holding a giant box and put it on the dinner table. It was a stunning ice-cream cake. I was confused because it was nowhere near her birthday or mine. Then she told me that that was the day when we had met and known each other for 7 years, and she wanted to celebrate it properly. I was touched since I didn’t expect anyone to remember when two friends met each other. That seemed like something couples in love would do, so it was quite sweet of her to remember that.
Soon, we started to make wishes in front of the cake, blow the candles, and enjoy the delicious cake together. It was pretty funny since the waiter thought it was my birthday and he was going to play the birthday song as the background music for us. Luckily, we explained ourselves and stopped him in time. Imagine how embarrassed we would have been otherwise.
Then, we started to talk about how lucky we were to have each other in our life, and how magical the first dinner we had together would turn us into close friends of 7 years. We made a toast and wished our friendship would be as long-lasting as possible.
