Sample answer:

Well, China is a big country so it’s hard to generalize. But I’d say it has very distinctive seasons, so in most regions it feels really hot in the summer, and in the winter it gets really chilly. But in some southern cities, they have a mild climate, so it’s never boiling hot or freezing cold.
