I’d like to talk about the time I made a complaint about the service I got from an Uber driver and the company handled my complaint pretty well.
So here’s what happened:
It was about a month ago, one day when I just got off work, it started to rain heavily and there was no taxi in sight, so I just ordered a ride on the app, and luckily, a few seconds later I got paired with a driver who was not far away, so I just waited patiently for him to pick me up. However, after about 5 minutes, he still didn’t show up. So I opened up the app where I could see the driver’s location. And you know what? I couldn't believe my eyes but he was going in the completely opposite direction, clearly he was not planning to pick me up. And what pissed me off is that the app showed that he had already arrived at the pickup location and I was already being charged. I called the driver immediately but no one answered. And at that time, I was completely soaked in the rain, and I could see that the fee was going up and up. I was so furious, so I called the customer service. I reported this driver and explained what happened. The lady on the phone was quite nice and she told me not to worry, they would take care of this. I was told, after they make sure what I said is true, the company will deactivate this driver or he will get proper punishment. And in order to make it up to me, they gave me some coupons. So, you see, I was pretty satisfied with how they dealt with my complaint.
