雅思口语里这一季问:a competition you want to take part in你想参加的比赛。
There’s a game show in China called Be Brave and Go, which features a series of adventurous games. I’ve always wanted to take part in those competitions, ‘cause it looks so fun and exciting. There are several barriers you need to go through, like you need to keep running on slippery ground, or on a narrow bar, and then you have to pass a spinning plate, and jump onto another board, which is also pretty slippery. In the end, you have to climb a rope, and if you are not careful, you’ll be splashed by water unexpectedly.
Few people could make it to the end, ‘cause like I said, all those facilities are slippery, you’ll always fall down and get eliminated. However, this won’t stop people from signing up for it, ‘cause the prize is so tempting. If you could pass the finish line, you’ll get 10,000 RMB and a free trip to Sanya, which is a popular holiday resort in China.
So you see, that’s why I want to enter this competition. However, this game requires energy, strength, and speed. You need to be strong and agile if you want to win. If I go to that game now, I must be the weakest contestant. So if I really want to take part in this competition, I’d better start working out now.
