Some people argue that teaching children of different abilities together benefits all of them. Others believe that intelligent children should be taught separately and given special treatment. Discuss both views and give your opinion?

Some people believe that students with different levels of academic abilities should be taught separately. Do you agree or disagree?

To seek ideal mode of education is one of the key words of our time. A man without proper education, many of us believe, is an unfortunate victim of adversity. Currently, separation in teaching is popular in some countries, yet, conflicting ideas clash in deciding which is more preferable and advisable,to conduct separation in teaching or to encourage different students acquire knowledge together. Personally speaking, to inspire slow learners and smart students study together is the best way to educate them.

Indeed, some evidences and arguments could easily be explored to justify that separation in teaching might exert a beneficial influence on both smart learners and common students. The most glaring merit might be that the students can receive the custom-tailored education, which fits for them. It is conceivable that the efficiency of study will be enhanced. Further, some people argue that it provides a number of benefits to the development of smarter students’ intelligence, hence, their zeal and motivation of academic study will be greatly stimulated.

Although to separate top students from those not-so-excellent is embraced by many people, I still remain suspicious of its merits. Virtually, on no account can we ignore the demerits triggered by separating the top students from the not-so-excellent. First, the sense of inferiority brought about the separation in teaching might make the slow learners belittle themselves and thus makes them lose their confidence in learning. Also, it is an unfair allocation of educational resources for all students. All the learners should have equal opportunities to receive the education with uniform quality. Eventually, intelligent students and common students can complement mutually via studying in the same class so that everyone could excel academically without suffering too much the pressure.
