Question 1:
When do children normally form their own views?
Sample Answer:
I would say children begin to form their own understanding towards the world at a rather early age, say, 18 months generally. This is due to the fact that children at this age are able to recognize their own images in the mirrors, which means they are able to develop better self-awareness and be clearer about their likes and dislikes, as well as needs and wishes. I would say the only possible problem is that they are not competent enough to express their views as clearly as adults, via language, so they simply resort to other ways to convey their messages.
Question 2:
Do children have strong opinions?
Sample Answer:
Well, there's no doubt that children do have their own perspectives towards things, but I'm not sure whether they have a firm and determined belief in everything, even adults, with a much more mature mind may not always have strong views. I think some children may be convinced of the existence of Santa Claus or some figures in fairy tales. But these beliefs may get abandoned as they grow older. Children are also deeply influenced by their family. If they are born in a family with a strong religious faith, they are more likely to present a strong position when it comes to this issue, even though they still don't have a thorough understanding of it.
Question 3:
Should parents request their kids to obey them?
Sample Answer:
Well, it seems to me that parents do have a point when they ask their children to be obedient. They resort to this approach of parenting to give their kids clear direction in every aspect of life so that they are better prepared for responsible adulthood. If parents are too permissive with their children, they are more likely to become too entitled and indulged. That being said, parents should give their kids some freedom to make their own choices rather than dominate their life, especially when they grow older. If not, they will become too dependent to think independently.
Question 4:
In what industries do you think communication is a necessary skill?
Sample Answer:
Well, it seems to me that the skill of communication is an indispensable soft skill in those enterprises which involve a great amount of information exchange and cooperation. This is because a sound communicating skill like good verbal or written skills can largely enhance the efficiency at workplace. People who work in service sectors such as customer service, healthcare or education ought to deliver service to the public, so they need to know the concerns of people via attentive listening. Also, if you work in a team, which is quite common in business enterprises of all scales, a good communicating skill can help you build better rapport with your fellow colleagues.
