Sample Answer (6 分段参考)
I’d like to describe a person who I only met once and want to know more about. He’s an history professor who’s been close on seventy, with salt and pepper hair. As a matter of fact, he’d been hugely popular among students as ever such an approachable teacher, who had a way with his students. On top of that, he’d been an expert at history who’d been reading a huge number of books in terms of history.
I’ve attended one of his lectures focusing on the history of Ming dynasty. At that time, I’d been snowed under with history learning and failed history exams, causing me frustrations in learning this module. That said, as a knowledgeable and an experienced history teacher, his lecture had sparked my learning interest in history.
What prompted me to know about him was that he’d been putting across history knowledge in a very matter-of-the-fact way in the lecture. Consequently, I’d had a profound admiration for him and gained bags of confidence to face up the problems in history learning. Above all else, my history had come on by leaps and bounds, passing my history exams with flying colors.
So to put it in a nutshell, I’d like to explain how I feel about this person. First things first, what sets him apart from others is that he’s shared alternative views on major historical events. As a consequence, I’ve acquired a wide range of history knowledge in such an efficient and effective way. In addition to this, I have been obsessed with history events and historical figures, from which I get to delve into their cultural backgrounds, which hold so much appeal to me.
Sample Answer (7 分段参考):
I meet a lot of people on a regular basis. However, only a few people left me a deep impression which makes me want to meet them again.
Last year, I met a public speaker in an English club. She is a wealthy businesswoman, so she doesn’t need to make money from us, the audience. That’s why I tend to believe that her words are trustworthy.
In her speech, she stressed the importance of setting achievable goals. She believed that most people fail because they set ambitious goals that they find hard to achieve, so they stopped trying. She cites an example of weight losing. She said instead of running 10km a day, the goal should be 5 minutes’ walk on the first day and 10 minutes’ walk on the second. After achieving small goals, we have an incentive to continue working.
Her speech was so inspiring that I want to listen to more of her speech. I believe I can a lot more from it in the future. Now I have lost 5 kiograms thanks to her help. I feel really grateful for her.
