I'd like to talk about an occasion when someone gave you positive advice or suggestions about my study, which was to improve calligraphy. By all accounts, calligraphy has been the tradition deeply rooted in China throughout the history. To be more specific, it is considered a form of art, which turns Chinese characters into images, by using ink and a brush. Consequently, calligraphy can give me peace and quiet, which helps to escape from stress in work or study.
To master this skill, my friend told met to attend classes, which was the most efficient way. There were a wide range of classes to learn Chinese calligraphy, with a basic introduction to it and teach me how to draw simple characters. In addition, all sorts of drawing tools like brushes, ink, and paper would be provided. The icing on the cake would be that the calligraphy class was tailor-made to suit our experience.
Her advice encouraged me learn calligraphy. Having said that, it required so much patience, which was of the essence in work or study, learning calligraphy would benefit the ability to keep concentrated, by focusing on the individual stroke making up a letter and slowing down the process of writing. Once and for all, muscle memory would have to be built, which was a challenging task.
Finally, I'd like to explain how I felt about the advice. First things first, learning calligraphy contributes to persistence, as I’d go all for it to become proficient in this skill. I’d like to describe an occasion when my grandfather gave me positive advice about my history study. My grandfather has been close on seventy, with salt and pepper hair. He used to be a history teacher in the senior secondary school, who’s been hugely popular. The thing is, he’s been ever such an approachable teacher who has a way with his students. On top of that, he’s been an expert at history who’s been reading a huge number of books in terms of history.
At that time, I was snowed under with history learning, failing history exams. As a result, as a
knowledgeable and an experienced history teacher, my grandfather gave me sound advice sorting out the problem.
By this I mean, he told me to go through fascinating history exhibitions, so I could acquire history knowledge in a very matter-of-the-fact way. On top of that, he told me that he never did anything by halves, which gave me bags of confidence to face up the problems in history learning.
So to put it in a nutshell, I’d like to explain how I felt about the advice. First things first, my grandfather has used an innovative approach to tackling my learning issue of history. What sets his way apart from others is that, he shares alternative views on major historical events. As a consequence, I get to acquire a brand range of history knowledge in such an efficient and effective way. In addition to this, I have been obsessed with history events and historical figures, from which I get to delve into their cultural backgrounds, which hold so much appeal to me.
