This topic reminds me of the time I helped my neighbor, who’s a weak old man.
This neighbor is really likeable, every day he likes to sit in a chair in front of his door, and whenever I come home and walk past his floor, he would give me a warm smile and sometimes, he would even hand me some snacks.
However, one day, after school when I walked past his door, I saw that his chair was knocked over and his door is slightly open, I felt something was wrong, so I opened his door to check on him. What I saw really scared me, he was lying on the floor. I could tell from his contorted face that he was in a lot of pain. I realized maybe he’s having a heart attack or something, so I immediately found his phone and called the ambulance, and I also called his emergency contact, I guess it was his daughter. At that time, I was only 10 years old, I didn’t know anything about first-aid. So I just stayed by his side and kept him company until his daughter arrived.
What happened next was actually a blur. I only remember that evening, his daughter called my parents, telling us that he was OK. And now, whenever I tell this story to others, I’m pretty proud of myself, ‘cause I feel like a hero, a lifesaver.
