I’d like to talk about the admission letter I got from my dream university.
I still remember the day I received it. It was about over a month after the college entrance exam. During that period of time, I constantly checked my mailbox, waiting for letters from the universities I applied to. One day, I finally got the letter from my dream university. When I held it in my hand, I could feel that my heart was in my mouth. I was dying to know whether I got accepted or not, but I didn’t have the courage to open the envelop.
I worked so hard for it. In the past three years, I basically spent every waking hour studying and preparing for the exam. Every morning, I got up early to memorize new vocabularies, and every night, I stayed up late solving math problems.
I handed the letter to my mom, and asked her to open it for me. And I told her, if it was not good news inside, just say nothing. She opened it slowly and unfolded the letter carefully. Suddenly, I could see my mom’s eyes light up. All of my hard work had finally paid off at that moment, you know.
The letter was certainly a weight off my mind, so that’s why it means a lot to me.
