Car trip一般都是比较愉快的经历,所以这个雅思口语话题你可以开心的跟考官分享,不过如果大家想给自己加点儿戏,聊一聊中间不那么愉快的小插曲,当然也是OK 的啊,例如被警察pull over (of the police, to make a driver or vehicle move to the side of the road),或者途中的小accident等等。
下面就来看看一位小朋友“被宰”的经历:
This topic reminds me of the time I went on a road trip to Tibet.
On our way there, we passed a huge piece of grassland where the scenery was breathtakingly gorgeous. We pulled over, and stepped outside to do some sightseeing.
There was this lake called Moon Lake, ‘cause it’s in the shape of a curved moon. The water is crystal clear. I could even see the bottom of it. And I saw a scattering of sheep on the grass, which was so cute, you know, the little white spots stood out against the green grass.
But we had a pretty tight schedule, so we couldn't spend too much time admiring the views, which is quite a bummer.
Oh, I almost forgot, there’s another experience that was not that pleasant. Here’s what happened. On the grassland, some local people offered tourists to have a ride on their horses, and they would charge you some money for that. I didn’t know that they tend to overcharge tourists, so I just got ripped off. When we went back to the parking lot, the guy working there told us, if we want to ride horses, we could pay 30 RMB to do that, but the fact is, we got charged double the price. I was like, ‘What the hell?!’
So, it’s fair to say, this car trip is a bittersweet experience.

上面的素材,可以变成an interesting conversation with a stranger,因为任何旅行的话题,都可以给“司机大哥”整点儿台词加点儿戏啊!
I’d like to talk about the time I talked to a taxi driver in Tibet.
It was about 2 years ago, my mom and I took a trip to Tibet. When we arrived there, we grabbed a taxi near the train station. And the driver was so talkative and hospitable. He recommended a lot of tourist attractions to us.
中间加刚刚提到的那片草原素材.
We asked him whether there’s any unique activities we could do on the grass besides sightseeing, and he said, if we are interested, we could try horse riding.
But he also gave us a heads-up, he warned us to be careful and not to be ripped off by those greedy people who tend to overcharge tourists. For example, usually the price is 30 RMB for a ride, but they would ask 60 for it.
So, you see, it was a great talk, I mean, he’s like a free guide, you know. With his help, we saved a lot of time and of course, money as well.
语言点解析:
grab = to have or take something quickly, especially because you are in a hurry例如:
Let's grab a sandwich before we go.

Grab a seat, I won't keep you a moment.

ask something (for something) = to request a particular amount of money for something that you are selling 例如:
He's asking £2 000 for the car.
How much were they asking for their house?
最后的最后,我们不要浪费素材,再把它按在“一群人微笑”的话题里:
This topic reminds me of the time I saw lots of people smiling when I was visiting Tibet. It was about 2 years ago, my mom and I took a trip to Tibet.
On our way there, we passed a huge piece of grassland where the scenery was breathtakingly gorgeous. We pulled over, and stepped outside to do some sightseeing. And we were not alone. It turned out it was a famous tourist spot. People were posing to cameras with big smiles on their faces, I mean, you just couldn’t help smiling when you see something so splendid.
There was this lake called Moon Lake, ‘cause it’s in the shape of a curved moon. The water is crystal clear. I could even see the bottom of it. And I saw a scattering of sheep on the grass, which was so cute, you know, the little white spots stood out against the green grass. And there were children running around, laughing and yelling. My mom told me, they were little sheepherders.
Oh, I almost forgot, we even went horse riding. You can pay 30 RMB to ride on local people’s horses, and they could help you take pictures and let you experience what it feels like to ride on a running horse. It was quite an experience for everybody, you know. So when they were on the back of a horse, they felt so elated. And that’s another place where you get to see smiling faces.
语言点解析:
sheepherder = shepherd = a person whose job is to take care of sheep
elated = very happy and excited because of something good that has happened, or will happen例如:
They were elated at the result.
I was elated by the prospect of the new job ahead.
