雅思口语本季的新题里有一道关于乡下...一般提到countryside，大家都会想到山水田园般的风景和悠然的生活节奏，然后很自然的想到在countryside进行的各种活动，什么picnic啦，barbecue啦，hiking啦，camping啦…… 当然，如果这个countryside别具exotic flavor，那可能更有话可说哦。下面是一位同学的亲身经历，简直羡煞旁人啊~
This topic reminds me of the day I spent in a countryside in Switzerland.
It was last year, my mom and I were travelling in Europe. It was a package tour, but we had a one-day DIY trip when we passed a small village on our way from Italy to ... well, I don’t remember the name exactly, but it’s like a capital city of a state in Switzerland.
Anyway, the environment, I mean, the breathtaking scenery really blew my mind.
When we got off the bus, the first thing I saw was a peaceful lake. And it was during sunset, the surface of the water was shimmering in the sunlight. The refreshing and brisk air in the countryside suddenly made my mind clear, especially after a long ride on the bus.
I was so impressed by the relaxed pace of life there. Everything was so quiet, it was like, time had stopped in that little village. My mom and I took a stroll along the path, and I just had never been more relaxed.
And another thing I have to mention is that all the houses were in various colors, which added a little bit vibrancy to the idyllic village.
My mom and I went to a small café that had a unique architecture. The owner was a nice old gentleman who came over to us when he saw us. He’s super hospitable and talkative. When he knew we were tourists, he offered free cakes and postcards.
So you see, although this village is not a famous tourist spot, it’s more appealing than any other places of interest I visited in Switzerland.

a package tour = a holiday/ vacation that is organized by a company at a fixed price and that includes the cost of travel, hotels, etc.
