都说雅思口语Part 1的风格就是casual和conversational的，但是机经里的题目哇，也不是日常的聊天话题啊!雅思考官你考我weather啥的我就忍了，但是对于什么teamwork啦和newspaper等话题，我觉得考官欠我们一个解释……
今天分享的雅思口语话题是noise。我也不知道为啥要聊noise，不过既然他考了，我们就陪他唠十块钱的吧：
Do you prefer to study in a quiet environment or an environment with some sounds?
学习时候喜不喜欢有点儿声响?嗯，作为学霸的你是不是会突然想到图书馆里窃窃私语的小情侣，或者咔哧咔哧吃零食的大吃货?一般来讲大多数人都是喜欢在安静的环境里学习的，不过经历过抄实验报告的你，肯定会在抄报告这种“机械运动”的时候听听小曲，来让整个过程不那么痛苦吧… 所以答案就来了：
Well, it depends. I mean, if the school work I need to finish requires a great deal of concentration, then I prefer a quite environment, ‘cause in that case, I tend to get more work done, you know, without any distractions. However, occasionally, when I don’t have to focus 100% on my study, for example, when I’m doing something mechanical, I would usually listen to some light music, just to make the boring stuff a little bit more enjoyable / just to make it a little bit less boring.
Does your school have any quiet places for studying?
学校都没有可以安静学习的地方，那还哪能有!这题问的简直了……
Yeah, our school has a pretty spacious library where we could hardly hear any noise, so you can imagine the study atmosphere is awesome. And the best part is, we have easy access to the Internet while we are studying in that library. We could search for the stuff we need online conveniently. So every day, especially before mid-term or final examination, the library is packed with people.
Do you mind noise?
我想问考官有人喜欢noise么……
Yes, I do. They are annoying and disturbing. I couldn’t stand any noise, especially when I’m sleeping. You see, I’m a light sleeper, any sound would easily wake me up.
关于讨厌noise的一些表达大家可以单独积累一下，例如：
a loud and relentless / unpleasant noise 想象一下你家楼上装修
unbearable/intolerable noise “不能忍受”别忘了可以用形容词
irritating可以用来替换annoying
put up with可以用来替换stand
get on one’s nerves可以在想表达annoy somebody的时候用，例如：
That music is starting to get on my nerves.
What types of noise do you come across in your daily life?
Well, there are various noises I could hear every day, for example, my upstairs neighbor constantly renovates his house, the drilling and the hammering really kills me. And the walls in my apartment are not that soundproof, so sometimes I could hear my neighbors fighting, baby crying or dogs barking. And also, when we step outside, we could hear drivers honking the horns, and some unbearable noise from the construction sites.
相信大家肯定还经历过其他噪声，这里就不赘述了。
What natural sound do you like the most?
来自大自然的声响…… 考官是真的不了解中国考生啊，我们没什么机会接触大自然的!真是一个interesting question啊!那就挑简单的来吧：
Well, I like the sound of birds singing, which is something I could hear every morning, and when I take a walk in the woods, I also enjoy the soft rustling of the leaves, ‘cause I just find it soothing and relaxing.
之前还听过一位叫John的英国帅哥说喜欢听大海的声音，因为他只有在休假的时候才能听到，于是一听到大海的声音就会有极其放松的心情，也是一个很好的点子哦：I like the sound of waves hitting the seashore, because it’s just really soothing, if you know what I mean. And it’s a sound I only get to hear when I’m on holiday, so I also probably associate it with being on holiday, which would be another reason why I like it so much!
Do you think that cities will become noisier in the future?
一道预测未来的题目。大家说什么都是对的，那就怎么好说怎么来吧：
Yes, definitely! Today the number of private cars has increased dramatically, so the traffic jams are everywhere, especially during rush hour, and things won’t get any better in the future. Besides, cities are developing real fast, new roads and bridges would be paved, more skyscrapers would be constructed, which are all sources of noise.
或者我们可以用过去对比现在，再推测未来：
If you compare the situation in cities now to what it was like 10 or 15 years ago, then it’s obvious that cities have got a lot noisier, and I’m pretty sure this trend is likely to continue into the future.
What do you feel about noise when you are working or studying?
前面都说了我学习喜欢安静，真是好烦的考官啊……
My study efficiency would be negatively affected. I mean, I couldn’t stay focused when I’m in a noisy environment. I could even get irritated.
