从事件经历类话题的类型，就能感觉到雅思命题人还是很喜欢听故事的。比如之前槽点比较多的“不喜欢缺还得对之友善的人”、“别人对你说谎的经历”、“早期经历”等等。还有今天要跟大家分享的：Describe a time when you felt surprised to meet someone. 当然偶遇大明星是很好说的素材，因为相信这个场景已经在各位脑残粉儿的脑海中过了无数遍了，什么合影要签名(autograph，别说成signature啊)，一个都不能少嘛。
但是如果你想走平民路线，偶遇个多年未见的老友，老师或者ex，也是完全OK的啊!无论见到谁，都可以说一句“哇哦原来你也在这里!”各位可以参考下面的套路，有些短语应该能用得到，大家各取所需吧：
OK, well the time I’m gonna talk to you about was when I bumped into one of my old friends from primary school when I was travelling in Yunnan, which is a magnet for tourists.
It was like 2 years ago, during our summer vacation just before we went to high school. I have to say it was just an incredible happy coincidence, ‘cause we were both travelling with our families. We just graduated from junior high and it was the longest vacation we had so far, so actually almost everybody took a long trip somewhere.
We hadn’t seen each other for nearly 3 years, and he changed a lot, I almost didn’t recognize him at first. At that time, we were both in a restaurant, eating their highly recommended local dish. And when I was on my way to the bathroom, I spotted someone who looked really familiar. I walked up to him and at the same time, he seemed to recognize me as well.
I was like, “Wow! What a small world! What are the odds?”
We were both so happy to see each other again, I mean, it’s always awesome to reunite with old friends. So we just “ditched” our family for the rest of the night and went to dinner together. We spent the evening catching up on each other’s news, which reminded me of our good old days. After attending different junior high schools, with the heavy schoolwork and all, we didn’t contact as often, but we didn’t seem to drift apart at all and we still had a lot to talk about. Later we went to the street market together after dinner and watched a show performed by some local artists. Anyway we really had a good time that night.
