雅思口语机经里面的一个话题paid job，其实可以移花接木到很多题目中去，比如“你曾经的success”。因为对于大多数人来说，人生中赚得的第一笔钱，无论多少，都会让我们有强烈的成就感!再比如“跟朋友之间的分歧”，可以说两个人打算勤工俭学，但是对于“工种”有了不同意见。
一般情况下，学生出来打工，最常见的形式就是家教(tutor)，餐厅服务员(wait tables)，网管(work in an Internet café)，兼职导游(local guide)等等。如果你有特别奇葩的工作经历，当然考官是非常乐意听的!不过对于那些不曾有过part time job，或者不擅长编故事的孩子来说，找个烂俗的工种其实也是不错的选择，因为好处就是，里面涉及到的单词，咱们都会说!大家可以参考下面的素材，跟考官讲讲你的家教经历：
The only paid job I’ve ever done is tutoring a primary school student. She is a 6th grader and my next-door neighbor. Actually, she’s quite smart at school, and she can ace all the exams except English tests. I guess everyone has his or her weakness, right? Anyway, I didn’t know how her mom knew that I have a good command of English, so one day she knocked at my door, asking me if I would like to tutor her daughter, and she added that I could get paid by the hour. I was quite thrilled after hearing this actually, ‘cause it’s always nice to have more pocket money. So I said yes!
But it turned out the job was much more difficult than I thought. I kind of adopted a student-centered teaching method, you know, trying to figure out why she had difficulties studying English, but then I realized she was just careless and not interested in this at all. And I always believe that interest is the best teacher, so I did everything I could to spark her interest in English. I introduced hilarious American movies and TV shows, and sometimes I would teach her to sing some English songs. I’ve been teaching her for 5 months now, and her grade does improve, not a lot, but I think it’s a good start, and I’m pretty proud of myself for that. So I guess that’s pretty much it.
所以，大家看，如果是家教的话，叙述重点就变成了学习某个科目的科学方法，比如，如果是学数学的话，就要让孩子意识到背公式和题海战术不是有效的方法，而是要真正理解公式定理背后的含义。如果是学习化学，重要的是掌握规律而不是死记元素周期表等等。相信大家都有学习各种科目的套路，那就讲给考官听吧!
