雅思口语里一提到special song,不知道为什么很多孩子就会想到Adel的那首Someone like you。可能大家都经历过break up和emotional breakdown,都曾经devastated,都有过一段sad 或者bittersweet love story,所以才有了这首歌get straight to my heart的感觉,也是因为time heals everything,所以到最后我们才能在脸上挂起一个tearful smile,然后释然的说一句“Never mind I’ll find someone like you.”
The song that’s special for me is called Dear, that’s not love by a really popular Chinese singer. My first love sang it for me when he wanted to break up with me, and for a month after that, I just put it on a loop, and I couldn’t get the melody out of my mind. My love story is actually quite typical, just like any puppy love during junior high. I find this song really special because it resonates with me. It seemed like that all the lyrics are talking about our relationship.
We started off as good friends, but as time went by, we realized that we were more than just friends. Anyway, we started to date. Every morning, he would buy me breakfast, and we even skipped classes and ran to the nearby amusement park. He knew that I’m crazy about cakes, so basically every day he would get me cakes in different flavors. He’s the kind of person who really knows how to take care of a girl. And he’s extremely romantic. Our favorite pastime was to go to the karaoke club, and he would sing for me. But one day, he picked that song, and I realized the lyrics are the words that he wanted to say to me. I would sing for you but it’s a Chinese song, so I’d better translate it into English. It goes like, when we were young, we thought holding hands means making promises, but dear that’s not love, and we thought time could stop and all the beautiful moments means forever, but dear that’s not love. I could really relate to this song because of all the details it mentioned, like the milk bottle every morning, the merry-go-round in the park and the long walks hand in hand.
Right now, when I hear this song, to be honest I’m not sad anymore; it has become an unforgettable memory. So it’s really special for me.
大家是不是想到自己的前任了,别多想啦,写进答案里吧!
