在人物类话题里面，有一道题目是someone who’s good at a second language，第一个蹦到大家脑海里的是谁呢?是哪位英语学霸?还是妈咪同事家的乖宝宝?总之，肯定是“别人家的孩子”对吧!
那与其违心的夸他们，为啥不拍拍马屁，跟考官介绍一下自己的口语考试呢?按照这个思路走下去，我们基本上重头戏就是解释一下各位的老师是如何学习英文的了。所以，大家就把从小到大老师讲的报纸上看的各路“奇招”都瞎说一通，整道题基本上就完事儿了。大家可以参考以下素材，再加入自己的“招式”，忽悠考官：
Question: Describe a person you know who is good at a foreign/second language.
Answer: I’d like to talk about my spoken English teacher. I’ve never seen any Chinese who can speak English as well as her.
Actually she’s not an English major when she was in college, but she just have this passion for English, so she would audit classes for English majors, and sometimes she even skipped her own classes for that. And she is a huge fan of American shows and movies, she would stay in her dorm all day watching American TV shows, like the ones she recommended to me, um… Desperate housewives, 2 broke girls and the classic Friends. And she is so crazy about the shows, most of the time, she would watch the latest updates of the show because she couldn’t wait for the subtitled version to come out, I think that’s why her listening skill is so awesome.
And she would take every opportunity to practice her spoken English. She told us, every Saturday, there was a free English corner in her college where international students would also be there. They would talk about random topics like the weather, current affairs around the world, and mostly, those juicy gossips in show business.
And now because of her work, she needs to speak English every day, and her English proficiency just got better and better.
I wish some day I could be like her, you know, talking like a native speaker and communicating with foreigners without any difficulties.
